A poor teacher – tells. A good teacher – explains.
A very good teacher – demonstrates. A brilliant teacher – inspires.

Since 2008, the FORUM ATOMOWE Foundation has been educating the Polish public about physics and related sciences, with a primary focus on the peaceful uses of nuclear energy and radioactivity. The Foundation comprises a team of young, active, and ambitious specialists in fields including nuclear physics, radiological protection, energy systems, and nuclear power.
Our activities are not limited to any single social group. However, we place a special focus on young people, particularly as recent years have seen a reduction in science education hours within Polish primary and secondary school curricula. We believe the most effective way to educate young people is through direct contact with young specialists who use modern, interactive methods to explain nuclear and radiation science in an engaging manner.
Public understanding of nuclear science in Poland remains limited. As Poland moves forward with plans to develop nuclear power, it is crucial to equip the public with objective, up-to-date knowledge to foster informed discussion about the construction of nuclear power plants. Our Foundation is committed to actively supporting this education process. We believe these activities will contribute to informed public discourse regarding this investment, which is important for the country’s development.
However, regardless of the future of the Polish Nuclear Power Programme, the Foundation is committed to continuing and expanding its educational activities in service to the public. As Albert Einstein famously said, “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing… Never lose a holy curiosity.”
The FORUM ATOMOWE Foundation is growing dynamically. We run several ongoing projects, including our mobile educational exhibition (‘Atomic Bus’), a thematic web portal, editing a popular science quarterly, and organising workshops and seminars. Our flagship project, the “Atomic Bus – Mobile Laboratory,” gained international recognition, winning the PIME Award for the best educational campaign in the nuclear industry in 2014. We invite you to learn more about our Foundation’s activities.
We will inform you about new topics on the knowledge portal nukleo.pl, the Foundation’s current activities and currently implemented projects.
