XV Science Picnic in Warsaw
More than 100,000 people experimented at the fifteenth edition of the Science Picnic, Europe’s largest outdoor event promoting modern science communication.
The picnic was organised jointly by the Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre. The event, under the slogan ‘Freedom’, took place on 28 May in Rydz-Śmigły Park in Warsaw. It was attended by 230 institutions from 21 countries around the world. Among them was also the FORUM ATOMOWE Foundation, whose volunteers answered visitors’ questions at the PGE Energia Jądrowa SA stand.
The stand attracted a great deal of interest – in addition to competitions with prizes prepared by PGE, Volunteers conducted selected demonstrations developed as part of the “Atomowy Autobus – Mobile Laboratory” project. On duty at the stand were Anna Przybyszewska, Adrian Bujas, Michał Chmielewski, Dariusz Piechota and Daniel Wargocki.
Many thanks to our colleagues for their time, active involvement and willingness to share their knowledge with the participants of the Science Picnic!
