Bródno University of the Third Age

The educational project “Encounters with Atomic Energy” is addressed to various social groups with no age restrictions, therefore we were pleased to accept the invitation of the Director of the ŚWIT Cluta House, Mr Jacek Białek, to deliver alecture for the listeners of the University of the Third Age.The lecture entitled “Nuclear energy – the ground is safety!” took place on 7 April and was hosted by the President of the Foundation – Mr Łukasz Koszuk. The aim of the speech was to answer the question of whether nuclear power is a safe source of energy. There was also current information on the events at the Japanese nuclear power plant in Fukushima, as well as a discussion of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident in connection with this year’s 25th anniversary of the event. The audience was surprisingly well attended, with over 200 people in the auditorium!
