“Atomic holidays” in Choczewo

On Friday, 3 February, the FORUM ATOMOWE Foundation hosted a visit to the School and Kindergarten Complex in Choczew as part of the “Atomic holidays” campaign organised by the Polish Nuclear Power Plants.

“Atomic Holidays” is a combination of fun and education. The Foundation’s volunteers – Anka, Jacek and Łukasz – tried to explain in a simple way, using selected exhibits of the atomic exhibition, how a nuclear power plant works and how it differs from other energy sources.

The Choczewo commune was selected as the preferred location for the first nuclear power plant in Poland. Currently, Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe is applying to obtain the necessary administrative decisions for the indicated location of the future power plant, in particular the decision on environmental conditions and location decisions.
