Celebration of France on French Street
For the second time, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Poland organised a celebration of the French National Day in Warsaw on Francuska Street. Along the street, from the Washington roundabout to the intersection with Walecznych Street, a number of stands and animations were set up referring to France, its culture and traditions.
The 14th of July is celebrated in France in an exceptionally joyful atmosphere, which, thanks to the French town on Saska Kępa and the evening Ball on 14 July on Foksal Street, also appeared in Warsaw. From 12.00 onwards, numerous attractions related to France awaited visitors on Francuska Street. There was no shortage of French food products, including cheeses and wines from various vineyards. Delicious croissants, quiche and traditional French crêpes were baked on site, and the chef of one of the French restaurants demonstrated on stage some dishes that can be easily prepared at home.
This time there was also the FORUM ATOMOWE Foundation, whose representatives were present at the EDF Polska S.A. stand . EDF is a global leader in the energy industry with competence in all its fields, from production, energy trading and distribution to the management of transmission networks. The EDF Group is the largest foreign investor in the electricity and heat production sector in Poland. It has been present on our market for more than 10 years.
The Foundation’s employees presented visitors with demonstrations related to natural radioactivity and nuclear energy – a mock-up of a nuclear power plant and a fuel cassette of a PWR reactor. In addition, at the EDF stand visitors could enjoy an ‘energy drink’ and win interesting prizes in an energy knowledge competition. Thanks to all visitors for their interest in radioactivity 😉
